"A noodle shop famous for Medan-style bihun. Located in the heart of Medan. The interior has an old Chinese vibe. The noodles are a bit, but the duck is very generous. The duck meat is tender, fragrant, and savory. The soup is rich with collagen broth, simmered for hours. Topped with plenty of crispy fried garlic for extra flavor."

"It was located around Old Town area. The waiting is around 30 mins. The broth alone was great. I tasted the bihun and duck alone and wondering how its supposed to taste. Was it supposed to be bland alone? Or you should add more broth as the seasoning? Or should you add soy sauce to make it savory? The bihun texture was great and they give such a huge amount of meats considering the price is 130k for one bowl."

"Portions are huge. I'm not usually a fan of beehoon, but this one is worth a try! The toppings are generous, and it’s always packed. It’s a bit pricey too."

"Been coming here for almost 20 years, quality and service doesnt skip a beat... The broth is packed with flavour and comes out pipping hot (highlight of the meal) that bursts in aroma when you dunk in loads of chopped spring onions. With silky vermicelli and a super generous amount of tenderly braised duck meat accompanied with pickled green chillis and a chilli paste that leads to excitement in every mouth full. A must try in Medan!"

"No doubt the legendary duck vermicelli soup in medan, it can be the most expensive one too but the richness of the soup is worth it. If you are more adventurous, can go for the duck innards. They have small and normal bowl but the difference is only 10,000 rupiah, so just go for the normal one, which easily has 30% more soup than the small one."

"If culinary heaven has a duck section, Bihun Bebek Asie is running the front desk. The broth? A masterclass in herbal sorcery. The duck? So tender it practically resigns from your chopsticks. And the bihun noodles? Like silk threads spun by a carbohydrate-loving spider. There’s just one catch, you have to find it. The shop has no signboard, like it’s trying to keep itself a delicious secret from the unworthy. You’ll know you’re there when you see a crowd of locals standing in reverent silence, slurping. Price-wise, it’s awesomely good but unapologetically expensive. One bowl could make your wallet wince, especially if you start getting fancy with the extras - duck organs, herbal soup, you name it. Service is fast, no-nonsense, and just gruff enough to remind you this is a serious bowl of noodles, not a therapy session. Fun Fact: Bihun Bebek Asie is so under the radar, even Google Maps looks confused. Follow your nose, your instincts, and the sound of quietly weeping banknotes."

"Medan flavors off the tourist radar, Bihun Bebek Asie is a no-frills eatery is where locals flock for their duck noodle fix. No fancy décor but your local “coffee shop” vibes with the classic tea and coffee stand and years of boiling thick bebek broth. You wont find the shop plaque but its just next to jura ramen and easily accessible following google maps. We tried: Bihun Bebek Basah (Soup Version)– Silky rice noodles in a rich, savory duck broth, topped with tender shredded duck. Comfort in a bowl! *ask for more spring onions if u wish to Mee Bebek (Dry)– Springy noodles tossed in a fragrant mix, served with a side of soul-warming duck soup. *Pro move: Drizzle the soup in as you go! Spicy Sour Chili Dip – The MVP! Tangy, fiery, and perfect for dipping your duck. Fried Garlic Galore – Pile it on for that extra crispy, aromatic kick Personally prefer the dried version more, its a lot of $$$ (bout IDR 260,000) for two bowls of noodles and two plain teas. Sounds like a luxurious treat from the pocket but it does give you a loaded bowl of tender, broiled bebek pieces. "Visit on Oct 24, 2025 Nook in the old town neighborhood. One of the legendary duck rice vermicelli stall, they dont use pork or lard. The broth comes first, piping hot and very savoury. You can choose regular size bowl (IDR 140rb) or the small (IDR 120rb) The chili sauce is sweet and fragrant Tried their ice kopi susu, made still with old fashioned way"
